A Quiet Moment

Sitting here alone in the quiet my mind begins to wander. I live in this world, but I am not of this world. It's just who I am. Doesn't mean the little moments like these, mean any less. I just live in the knowledge that this terrible world with all it's hatred, all it's pain...is still beautiful. From the warmth of a sunset on my face, to the coolness of the tiles beneath my feet, to the scratchy but soft couch I'm sitting on, I know that I live here...in this moment...in this terrible beautiful world.


So, yes. It's been a while hasn't it. Nope, not dead yet. Still clinging desperately to my Wacom tablet trying to draw while I watch oodles of snow, that hasn't been around at all until about a week ago, drift slowly to the ground. But...yes, got something done. I have quite a few design projects that couldn't hurt me much to post as well. So that's possibly something to look forward to. Did some new things with this piece, learned a few methods during an assignment I had for my drawing techniques class. And on a side note, yay backgrounds! Sooo..enjoy. As always comments and critique are welcome.
