Good morning, Good evening, or anywhere in-between to any and all who read my journal...
Striving for improvement?Wanting to improve your art skills? Need some fun exercises to practice but don't know where to start? Then why don't you check out SOS Factory's:
(Original Post)What to do! I think I've stumbled upon another art block...and this one's nasty. I find myself unable to draw much of anything and it's not because of lack of ideas, far from it, it just seems that my hand and my brain have started a fight with each other and refuse to listen to each other. *sigh* What to do....what to do...
Anyway, other than my inability to draw much of anything except terrible little scribbles that have no coherent meaning whatsoever, and the fact that I still have no voice and am sick with god knows what...how's everyone getting on this week?
I'm slowly chipping away at the homework that has been tossed upon me but it continues to pile up weather or not I do it. It's like sand you dig a hole and it just fills right back up on ya.
Thank you for listening to my mini rant there...and if you didn't read it no worries...the important stuff is below.
!!IMPORTANT STUFF!!
(No really...how can it not be important if it's in bold and all caps?)THE LIST OF IMPORTANT THINGS! (in no particular order):
is taking Pen commissions at the moment if you have some time why not check out his journal (where the prices are listed), and perhaps while you're at it you could bug him a little about getting those ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) finished.
is an absolutely wonderful artist who has loads of budding talent and has the ability to stand among the greats, and is looking for some constructive criticism on his art. He's trying to improve his craft which is something all artists should strive to do. If you have a little spare time on your hand why not drop him a comment or two (be sure to look in his scraps).
Make sure it's constructive criticism...as comments like "That's cute" and "Aww..." don't exactly say much.
is an up and coming artist who's got more potential than you can shake a stick at. If you aren't watching her already I suggest that you check her out. She doesn't own a tablet and yet has managed to create things like OODLES OF DOODLES in i-scribble! Her lines are smooth and her character's full of personality. This one is definitely someone to keep an eye on.
Have you ever wanted to suggest a Daily Dev? But either don't know how or don't even know what it is? Then be sure to check out ^Katmomma's latest video Documentary/commentary on Suggesting a Daily Deviation. "This is 9 minutes of free education, and everything real."
It can be found for your viewing pleasure...right here Daily Deviations: Let's Talk
Funnily enough it got a Daily Dev of it's own X3
I've also got a little question for you....I'm currently taking a 2D design art class and we've been asked by our teacher to create a t-shirt logo design thing that can be printed onto a shirt. It must be completely black and white and can only be half the size of an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. Now the question I'm facing is who should I put in the design? Should I put June in it? Or should I give the twins a little lime light?
(Although I can almost tell what the answer is going to be...)Anyway, that's all for now stay tuned I might be able to kick this art block of mine and get some stuff posted sometime in the near future. *hopeful*
